Our selection process
Stage 2 - Assessment Centre

The next stage of our selection process is our Assessment Centre, which will either be held virtually or in-person. If it's a virtual assessment, you will be provided with a link to join the virtual meeting beforehand, and you will need access to Teams. For an in-person assessment, we will send you the office address and directions in advance.

The assessment will last approximately 2.5 hours and includes breaks. You will have a dedicated host to welcome you and assist you throughout the session. During the assessment centre, you will collaborate with other candidates on a group exercise, so be ready to share your ideas.

The day will also feature an interview to discuss your motivations for applying to dentsu and reflect on the day's activities. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to get to know our staff and other candidates before you join us.

Stage 1 - Digital Assessment

Once you have completed our online application, you will be invited to complete our online digital assessment.

Here we have created a strengths-based approach that evaluates a candidate’s broader potential, looking beyond experience and education, and acknowledges various aspects such as interpersonal skills like rapport building, cognitive abilities such as creativity, and motivational traits, for example, drive.

These strengths represent our inherent abilities and interests and are unique to every individual. By emphasising on strengths, we can eliminate biases in the selection process and provide equal opportunities for all candidates. We want everyone to bring their whole self to work.

We have outlined our selection process, so you have a clear understanding of what to expect during the hiring process, including the timeline, the types of interviews, and the assessment criteria.

Stage 3 - Interview

As part of the process, you may receive an invitation to attend an interview, which can be conducted either face-to-face or virtually.

During the interview, you can expect to answer competency-based questions that are designed to evaluate your fit against our company's values. All our feedback forms have a set of standardised questions and you will be scored out of 4 based on the quality of your answers, helping to eliminate bias from the assessment process.

Additionally, this will be an excellent opportunity for you to visit our office and meet some more of our team members in person.

Our entry level roles are open to anyone with any level of experience. You don’t need a degree to your start career with us. Many of our senior leaders joined us without a university degree and have accelerated their career at dentsu and beyond.

We invest in all our early careers employees by giving them the option of completing an apprenticeship alongside their employment with us. We have a continuous recruitment process throughout the year, and our roles are filled on a first-come, first-served basis as they become available.

As part of the assessment, you will be evaluated based on your competencies and asked competency-based questions so we would recommend going through some scenarios to help you plan. The 8 ways shape and guide the way we do things here, so that, together, we can achieve the ‘never before’ for our clients, for society and for each other. By learning more about these it can help you prepare for a successful interview.
